Role Overview
As the International Tax Manager, you will support the Group Director Tax & Treasury by managing tax risks and opportunities. Your focus will be on corporate tax, tax accounting, and acting in a business advisory capacity for the Global Group.
Day‑to‑day responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of corporate tax compliance—including country‑by‑country reporting, BEPS Pillar 2, and recommending system improvements.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the preparation of Group Statutory Accounts tax notes.
- Manage the tax accounting process in line with relevant accounting standards, including year‑end, budgeting, ETR, modelling, accounting developments and forecasting.
- Advise on systems requirements and tax technology developments.
- Work with overseas tax advisers (US, Australia, Canada and Germany) to monitor and control overseas tax compliance and potential permanent establishment risks.
- Work closely with the wider Tax, Finance & Business Teams and external advisors to deliver the Group’s objectives, assist with ad‑hoc advisory queries and undertake relevant tax research.
Essential Experience
- Technical capability in direct tax regulations and accounting standards.
- Strong leader with effective interpersonal skills.
- Professional and self‑motivated to meet tight regulatory deadlines and manage complex projects, collaborating with a broad range of business contacts and advisers.
- Background knowledge in international tax regulations.
Essential Qualifications
- Professional accounting qualifications.
- Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.
- Experience with direct tax systems such as OneSource software.
- VISIO and SAP/Oracle capabilities.

This role is full time (37 hours per week) based at either the Malvern or Farnborough facilities. It is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.

Malvern
The Malvern facility focuses on electronic warfare, surveillance and complex system integration, contributing significantly to the UK’s defence capabilities. Technologies for military and civilian applications include sensors, communications and cyber security.
Farnborough
At our Farnborough site, exciting work takes place at our state‑of‑the‑art facility, with high‑energy laser technologies, a 5 m pressurised wind tunnel with unique simulation capability and large research and development projects.
