Marketing Assistant (Placement) (ED13611) – Bath, BA2 7AY

This position is only available to current undergraduate students at the University of Bath doing a placement in year 3. 

Students must be studying within the departments of Social and Policy Sciences; Politics, Languages and International Studies; or Psychology.

About the role

We are seeking a Marketing Assistant to work with the Marketing team and wider Faculty in the effective promotion and recruitment of our courses to UK and international students. 

The role covers a range of marketing activities including content production, copywriting for offline and online platforms, supporting social media, assisting with event support both in-person and online, helping to implement the Faculty’s advertising campaigns, and undertaking market research. 

The role will be integral in the creation of relevant content for our target audiences both across video and photography. 

You will be bringing your own experiences as a student into the team to advise and inform on marketing plans and activities.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in using digital and online marketing channels (including social media)
  • Ability to create engaging content for social media platforms
  • A high level of literacy and copywriting skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience navigating IT, database and presentation software
  • Strong information management skills and able to analyse and present complex data
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work collaboratively in a team and with different stakeholders
  • Capacity to manage and prioritise workload and work on own initiative
  • Strong work ethic, flexible and able to develop new skills quickly

Salary: £25,912 . Appointments at Grade 3 will receive an additional pensionable supplement to ensure a minimum hourly pay equivalent to £12.00 in line with Voluntary Living Wage.
