Salary: £26,250 plus commission. Hours: 37.5 per week.

Join our Sales team. Our team is over 500 people strong across our UK and Ireland offices, growing into new international markets and opportunities. As a Sales Executive, you will be a key part of our future plans, working in a role with substantial earnings potential and a clear progression path. We need ambitious individuals who want to succeed – no specific qualifications or previous experience required.

In this role you will secure new business with organisations across the UK, selling IT solutions from partners such as Microsoft, HPE, Cisco and Dell. As you become established, you will focus on deepening existing relationships and expanding product use within clients, giving you control over how much you earn and how you develop.

As part of the Softcat Sales Development Programme you will receive training and support designed to accelerate your confidence and help you progress to an established Account Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Research potential customers to identify and build new business opportunities.
  • Grow new business through cold calling, customer meetings and email marketing.
  • Work toward your KPI’s by developing market understanding, building relationships and networking.
  • Provide effective account management to support customers’ technology strategy, implementation and future requirements.
  • Collaborate with the sales team, cross‑functional teams and external partners to create a rich customer experience.

  • Passion for sales and a desire to learn and develop your skill set.
  • A keen entrepreneurial flare and the drive to build your own client base from scratch.
  • Self‑starter qualities – motivated, quick learning and highly organised.
  • Enthusiasm to learn about new and emerging technologies.
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build solid relationships internally and with potential new clients.

Flexible working patterns

  • Flexible working – a mix of working from home and in the office. Required to attend an in‑office team meeting each Wednesday.
