Control System Engineer – North East, UK

Salary: £DOE.

Jackson Hogg is delighted to be working with a leading offshore subsea engineering business which delivers offshore equipment to clients worldwide. It is a very exciting time to join this progressive team, as they are expanding their offices and looking to bring an experienced Controls Engineer that will work on fast‑paced, leading projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design control system circuits and documentation.
• Develop PLC, HMI/SCADA systems and software.
• Configure and commission inverter drives.
• Check and approve electrical schematics and calculations.
• Review designs against DNV and/or other standards.
• Contribute to sales proposals.
• Liaise with suppliers.

Key Requirements

• Experience in designing and commissioning safety automation and control systems for marine and/or hazardous environments.
• Experience in PLC programming.
• On‑site commissioning and fault‑finding experience.
• Siemens TIA Portal experience.
• Experience with DNV certification (optional).
• Experience with SIL (optional).
