Job Overview

Success Recruit is partnering with a growing construction and property development business in Basildon, Essex to recruit a Trainee Assistant Project Manager. The role supports the Project Director in coordinating and delivering a range of commercial and residential projects across Essex, offering hands‑on training, mentorship, and a clear pathway to career progression.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of multiple projects, including refurbishments, extensions, and new build developments.
• Assist with project planning, coordination, and execution.
• Keep internal systems and project databases up to date with all relevant information.
• Attend meetings with the board of directors and contribute to follow‑up actions and reviews.
• Support risk assessments, contract administration, and project scheduling.
• Build rapport with architects, M&E consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Assist with project costings, budgeting, and sourcing materials and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in a career in project management within construction.
• Strong communication skills.
• IT proficiency, including Microsoft SharePoint and/or CAD; AI skills desirable.
• Willingness to travel to various project sites across Essex and possession of a full driving licence.

Hours and Salary

Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (some flexibility required). Salary £30k‑£45k plus company car and excellent progression opportunities.
