The firm advises corporates, investors, and high-net-worth individuals on dispute resolution, regulatory issues, and international legal strategy. We are recognised for our commercially focused approach, international outlook, and ability to navigate sophisticated legal and financial challenges across jurisdictions. We are looking for a Senior Solicitor or Partner (depending on experience) to join our small but dynamic team.

Role Overview

The Senior Solicitor / Partner is responsible for generating and leading high-value legal work, maintaining key client relationships, and contributing to the firm’s strategic development. The level of seniority and title will depend on the candidate’s experience, track record, and ability to originate and sustain a client following.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Client Relationships

  • Originate new instructions and develop a strong pipeline of work
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporates, investors, and high-net-worth individuals
  • Convert opportunities into retained matters
  • Maintain long-term client relationships and repeat instructions

Legal Delivery & Leadership

  • Lead complex litigation, arbitration, and cross-border matters
  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients
  • Supervise and support solicitors and junior team members
  • Ensure high standards of legal work and client service
  • Scope and price matters appropriately, with input from Finance where required
  • Monitor matter progress against scope and budget
  • Ensure matters are managed in a commercially effective manner

Strategic Contribution

  • Contribute to the firm’s growth strategy and positioning
  • Support development of key practice areas and markets
  • Participate in thought leadership and external profile-building

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 7+ years PQE
  • Strong experience in dispute resolution, cross-border matters, public international law and/or sanctions law
  • Demonstrated ability to originate work and manage client relationships
  • A portable client following is advantageous for Partner-level appointment
  • Commercially minded with an understanding of pricing and profitability
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • International experience or client exposure is advantageous
  • Foreign language skills are appreciated
