Vercity is looking for a confident, highly organised Operations Officer to play a pivotal role in the management of our project at the Royal Derby Hospital.
This is a role for someone who thrives in fast-moving, complex environments, enjoys working at the heart of operational decision-making, and can balance strong stakeholder engagement with disciplined contract and performance management.
Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll provide hands‑on management & administrative support across all aspects of project delivery, ensuring our contractual, financial and statutory obligations are met. You’ll act as a central point of coordination between authorities, service providers and internal teams — keeping performance, governance and communication on track.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting delivery and compliance with the Project Agreement, finance documents and sub‑contracts
- Coordinating office communications, documentation and record management
- Supporting service provider performance monitoring across hard and soft FM
- Assisting with insurance and legal claims management documentation
- Organising and supporting stakeholder meetings, committees and site reviews
- Producing high‑quality Board packs to agreed standards and timelines
- Acting as a trusted operational partner to the General Manager(s)
The successful candidate
- First class administration and support skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident and professional organiser and communicator
- Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders
- Excellent written, presentation and organisational capability
- Comfortable working to deadlines in fast‑moving, multi‑stakeholder settings
- Experience in a healthcare setting, SPV contract or similar would be an advantage
