Vida Healthcare has an exciting new opportunity for a clinical pharmacist to join their pharmacy team. This position is offered on a full-time basis, but part-time may be considered. The successful applicant will work onsite with patients across our four locations, with cross-site cover required.

Main Duties

  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, patient-facing and remotely, to clinically assess and help treat patients using expert knowledge of medicines for specific disease areas.
  • Provide pharmaceutical consultations to patients with long-term conditions as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Draw up structured medication reviews as a pharmacist.
  • Complete complex discharge and clinic letters.
  • Improve patient and carer understanding of confidence in and compliance with their medication.
  • Provide advice and answer medication-related queries from patients and staff.
  • Organise and oversee the work of the PCN pharmacy team to help ensure the practice requirements are being fulfilled and aligned.
  • Improve the quality and effectiveness of prescribing through clinical audit and education to improve performance against NICE standards, and clinical and prescribing guidance.
  • Develop yourself and the role through participation in clinical supervision, training, and service redesign activities.

Qualifications

  • Possess a MPharm degree or equivalent.
  • GPhC registration upon your start date.
  • Independent prescriber.
  • Applicants must have current UK professional registration.

Experience

  • Previous experience working as a GP pharmacist.
  • Experience of SystmOne.
