We are seeking a motivated IT Support Engineer to join a forward‑thinking organisation, providing hands‑on IT support across multiple school sites in Romford. This field‑based role is ideal for a proactive professional who enjoys variety and working directly with staff across different locations. You will play a key role in maintaining and developing IT infrastructure, supporting end‑users, and contributing to strategic IT projects while ensuring reliable, high‑quality service delivery.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide field‑based IT support across multiple sites
- Act as escalation point for complex technical issues
- Maintain and optimise systems, servers and networks
- Configure and troubleshoot network infrastructure
- Deliver IT projects (upgrades, migrations, rollouts)
- Ensure security, compliance and data protection
- Mentor and support junior team members
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Strong IT support and networking experience
- Confident with servers, infrastructure and networks
- Skilled in diagnosing complex hardware/software issues
- Understanding of cybersecurity and GDPR
- Experience using systems such as SIMs, MS Office, Impero would be desirable
- Education sector experience is highly desirable
