DV Cleared Cyber Security Engineer

Location: South Coast (Hybrid)

Contract: 6-12 Months

We are supporting a Defence client seeking a DV Cleared Cyber Security Engineer to strengthen cyber capability across high-security systems.

This role is critical in protecting sensitive systems and data within a complex and evolving threat landscape.

The Role

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls across infrastructure and applications, ensuring compliance and resilience.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and manage security controls across systems and networks
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and risk analysis
• Support security architecture and design decisions
• Monitor and respond to security incidents
• Ensure compliance with security standards and frameworks
• Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams

Key Requirements

• Active DV Clearance (essential)
• Strong experience in cyber security engineering
• Experience in SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint security tools
• Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO27001)
• Experience securing cloud and on-prem environments
• Strong understanding of network security principles

Desirable

• Experience in Defence or National Security
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices
• Certifications (CISSP, CEH, CISM or similar)
