Project Overview

You will play a key role in a £30m high‑tech healthcare development in Bristol. This scheme involves complex building services coordination, specialist installations, and high‑specification design standards, making it a standout project within the South West construction market. Working within a collaborative and experienced project team, you will take ownership of the design process from pre‑construction through to delivery, ensuring programme, quality and compliance targets are achieved.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design process on a £30m healthcare construction project
• Coordinate consultant teams, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
• Drive design programme to meet key project milestones
• Manage risk, compliance and technical approvals
• Ensure design solutions are practical, cost‑effective and buildable
• Oversee BIM coordination and technical integration
• Support commercial and operational teams throughout delivery

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Design Manager or Design Manager on large construction projects
• Experience delivering healthcare, laboratory or technically complex schemes
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction standards
• Tier 1 or large main contractor experience desirable
• Excellent leadership, communication and coordination skills
• Relevant construction qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
