Senior Packaging Buyer – responsible for owning key packaging categories, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, driving cost savings and resilience, and shaping the future of packaging for a leading drinks company.
Responsibilities
- Owning key packaging categories, including supplier relationships, contracts, and annual spend
- Negotiating with suppliers to deliver cost savings while maintaining quality and supply
- Ensuring capacity to meet demand and protecting the supply chain through resilience projects
- Running tenders and supporting strategic sourcing decisions
- Tracking and forecasting commodity and budget performance
- Working with Packaging Development and Sustainability teams on innovation and long‑term plans
- Influencing stakeholders across the business to land the best outcomes
Qualifications
- Experience in procurement and contract management with a strong understanding of related processes
- Experience buying packaging or similar categories
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders
- Logical problem‑solving approach, turning ambiguity into action
- Strong commercial acumen, balancing short‑ and long‑term thinking
- Drive to improve processes and make a positive impact
