Senior Acute Care Nurse (SACN)

Overview

Ash Villa is a 15‑bedded inpatient ward, created as part of LPFT’s ambitious plans to expand and develop our services and patient offering. The ward will provide high‑quality, patient‑centred and recovery‑focused care, and the team specialises in the management and treatment of mental health problems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the clinical development of the ward by managing staff and monitoring clinical standards and practice.
• Work closely with the Ward Manager to achieve ward targets and deliver high‑quality patient care.
• Assess care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate programmes of care for patients with acute mental health needs.
• Provide clinical services that work within the policies, protocols and clinical procedures of Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Trust.
• Deliver a user‑focused, accessible, and responsive acute nursing service that is safe, supportive and competent for people who experience acute mental health problems.
• Support the Ward Manager, including supervision and guidance to the Nursing Team and operational management of the Ward.
• Serve as clinical lead for the nursing team providing care for people with severe mental illness and other mental health problems.
• Manage the team in the absence of the Ward Manager and supervise Band 5 staff.
• Work evenings, nights, weekends, bank holidays and respond to on‑call responsibilities as required.
