A leading fire safety and compliance provider is seeking an experienced Service Engineer to carry out servicing, maintenance, remedials and repairs on a wide range of fire alarm systems, fire safety equipment, and life safety systems across the South East. This is a mobile role ideal for a Fire Alarm Engineer, Fire Safety Engineer, Fire Protection Engineer, or Fire Systems Service Engineer looking for stability, progression and varied work.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair fire alarm systems, fire detection systems, and fire safety equipment
- Carry out remedial works and light repairs on life safety systems
- Diagnose faults, troubleshoot issues and complete system inspections
- Complete accurate job sheets, service reports and compliance documentationWork closely with clients to deliver high‑quality service and support
- Participate in an out‑of‑hours call‑out rota
✔ Essential Experience
- Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Service Engineer or Fire Safety Engineer
- Strong fault‑finding, diagnostics and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites
- Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South East
➕ Desirable Skills
- Fire alarm commissioning
- Experience with security systems (CCTV, access control)
- Smoke ventilation testing, installation or commissioning
