Business Analyst – AI / M365 Copilot (SC / DV Cleared)London / Manchester / Bristol (Hybrid)6–9 month contract
We are supporting a central government organisation undergoing a significant expansion of its AI and digital capabilities. As part of this, we are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join a growing, high-impact AI team working at the forefront of emerging technologies.
This is not a traditional BA role – the team are looking for someone technically minded, comfortable operating in an AI‑led environment, and able to bridge the gap between business needs and cutting‑edge technology.
The Role
You will be working closely with product, engineering, and AI teams to shape and deliver AI‑driven solutions across the organisation. This includes defining use cases, gathering and refining requirements, and supporting the adoption of new tools and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyse, and document business and technical requirements within AI and digital programmes
- Work closely with engineers and data/AI teams to translate business needs into deliverable solutions
- Support the design and implementation of AI use cases, particularly within M365 environments
- Engage stakeholders across the organisation to drive understanding and adoption of AI tools
- Operate in an agile delivery environment, contributing to continuous improvement and delivery outcomes
Required Experience
- Active SC or DV Clearance (essential)
- Strong Business Analyst experience within government or highly regulated environments
- Experience working on digital, data, or AI‑driven programmes
- Technical awareness with the ability to engage engineering teams confidently
- Experience with M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Agents, or similar AI tooling (highly desirable)
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Desirable
- Experience working within AI adoption or transformation programmes
- Understanding of agentic AI or automation tools
- Previous experience within law enforcement, defence, or central government
