We are seeking a highly motivated and customer‑focused Trading Floor Desktop Support Engineer to support a high‑pressure front‑office environment. You will work directly with traders, quants, and analysts to ensure all desktop, application, data, and connectivity issues are resolved rapidly with minimal impact to trading activity.
A strong ability to troubleshoot Excel‑based pricing sheets and formula logic is highly beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
Provide L1/L2 desktop and application support to traders and other front‑office usersTroubleshoot issues related to Windows 11, O365, Outlook, network connectivity and hardwareSupport and maintain trading turrets, dealer boards, and voice systemsRapidly troubleshoot Excel pricing sheets, including broken formulas, incorrect references, or data link issuesAssist with market data add‑ins (Bloomberg API, ICE, CME add‑ins)Manage incident tickets and escalate where appropriatePerform desktop builds, upgrades, and deployments using enterprise toolsSupport trading floor moves, device rollout projects, and hardware refresh plansWork closely with infrastructure, network, app support, and dev engineering teamsParticipate in shift patterns or on‑call rotations as neededAbility to create clear KB documentation
Required Skills & Experience
2-5+ years’ desktop or trade‑floor support experienceStrong understanding of Windows OS, Active Directory, Microsoft 365Advanced Excel debugging including formula tracing, named ranges, dependency checkingAbility to communicate effectively with front‑office usersExperience in a financial services or fast‑paced trading environmentBasic understanding of ITIL processesDesirable Skills
Familiarity with Excel-based pricing models used in front‑office teamsTurret / voice trading systems (Cloud9)SCCM/IntunePowerShell scriptingBasic networking xwzovoh (DHCP, DNS, VLANs)Understanding of equities, FX, fixed income, or derivatives workflowsITIL FoundationSQL query building basic levelPersonal Attributes
