Employment Paralegal
MAP Legal are working with a highly ranked firm who require an Employment Paralegal to join their successful team.
Key responsibilities:
- Assisting with the organisation and development of the Firm’s know-how resources and precedents.
- Drafting summary legal updates, articles, and blogs.
- Bundle preparation and maintenance.
- Providing assistance throughout the litigation process.
- Reviewing and proofing marketing materials, such as the newsletter, presentations, content marketing and pitch documents.
- Reviewing and preparing documents in disclosure and data subject access request exercises.
- Carrying out legal and other research, fact gathering and information retrieval.
- Liaising and corresponding with the Tribunal and High Court.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of one year’s experience working as an Employment Paralegal.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks, caseloads and competing deadlines, and to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Good organisation skills, including working with multiple diaries (such as arranging training sessions for clients)
- Familiarity with electronic document management and filing systems, with strong general IT skills, including legal databases such as Practical Law or Westlaw.
- Some knowledge of DSARs, Employment Tribunal litigation and general Employment law
- Good attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
- Legal research skills and the desire to develop an understanding of the law.
