We’re hiring for an experienced Cloud Architect who combines strong architectural capability with a genuinely hands-on approach to software engineering.
This is not a pure governance, strategy, or ivory-tower architecture role. We’re looking for someone who can design complex distributed systems and still write production-grade code themselves.
Our client is focused on quality over quantity and wants to see a small number of exceptional engineers, not a high volume of average-fit profiles.
What you’ll need
- Strong AWS architecture and development experience
- Hands-on software development in Python, Java, or .NET
- Experience building event-driven systems using Kafka, EventBridge, or similar
- Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform
- Proven experience with microservices architecture
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with containers, including Docker and Kubernetes
The key requirement
Candidates must be able to both architect solutions and build them hands-on.
We’re especially interested in professionals who are:
- A senior engineer or architect who still codes daily
- Able to operate effectively in large enterprise environments
- Strong communicators who can influence technical direction
- Ideally some exposure to the aviation or travel technology
- Exposure to AI / ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
- Ideally some experience with observability tools such as Datadog, New Relic, or CloudWatch
- Multi-cloud experience across Azure or GCP would be ideal.
- AWS certifications
Important
The client is specifically looking for top technical experts, not generalist cloud engineers.
