Senior Support Worker – Children’s Residential

Location: Wallasey CH44

Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 + £50 per sleep-in

Shift Pattern: 2 on / 4 off

Home Type: 2-bed Children’s Residential Home

As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where children can thrive, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.

Working in a small 2-bed home, you’ll have the time and space to build meaningful relationships and deliver truly person-centred care.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting young people with their day-to-day routines, including school, activities, and appointments
  • Leading shifts and providing guidance to support staff
  • Ensuring high standards of care in line with regulations and company policies
  • Promoting a therapeutic, child-centred approach
  • Supporting the development, review, and implementation of care plans
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with young people
  • Encouraging independence, life skills, and personal development
  • Completing accurate records and reports
  • Creating a warm, stable, and homely environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a children’s residential setting
  • Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People (or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting or leading shifts
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A calm, resilient and nurturing approach
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred/essential depending on role)
  • Flexibility to work a 2 on / 4 off rota including sleep-ins
