Production / Operations Manager, Mid Glamorgan, South Wales, £60,000–£65,000

We are seeking an experienced, hands‑on Production / Operations Manager to join a growing bakery operation based in South Wales. This is a key leadership role within a fast‑paced food production environment, requiring someone who can bring structure, lead from the front, and support continued growth.

The Production Manager role:

You will be a visible leader on the shop floor, working closely with teams to drive performance, improve processes, and build a strong, engaged workforce.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and supporting production teams
• Driving improvements in efficiency, quality, and output
• Implementing structure, processes, and best practices
• Leading change and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensuring a positive, high‑performance culture on site
• Leading day‑to‑day bakery production operations

As the successful Production Manager or Operations Manager you will have:

• Proven experience as a Production or Operations Manager
• Strong background in food manufacturing, bakery production (preferred)
• Hands‑on leadership style with a strong shop floor presence
• Experience working in growing or evolving environments
• Ability to build trust, influence positively, and bring teams with you
• Flexible and adaptable approach to meet business needs
