Job Description:

We are proud to be partnering with a University who are looking to appoint a Senior Data Protection Analyst on an initial 3-month temporary basis.

This will be a full-time position based predominantly from home, with attendance required in the West Midlands approximately once per month, and an hourly rate of circa £300 – £350 per day via an Umbrella company

The ideal candidate will have experience handling Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Assisting the Data Protection Officer and Data Privacy lead with its caseload in order to provide data protection advice to the business
  • Delivering training to key stakeholders on data privacy principles
  • Undertaking DPIA and AI impact assessments
  • Dealing with data subject access requests and erasure requests
  • Managing and maintaining the University’s data protection registers

Experience required:

  • Experience within Higher Education is highly desirable
  • Experience dealing with DPIAs
  • Confidence in deputising for senior colleagues and contributing to high-level meetings and strategic decision-making
  • Strong experience delivering Data Protection training

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
