Overview
I am recruiting for a Test Automation Engineer with experience of Python (experience with Playwright too would be a huge bonus but isn’t essential) to join my client based in central Bath (close to the train station). They want someone happy to go into their central Bath office 3 days a week initially whilst getting settled in with flex on this once you are more established.
Responsibilities
- Join an established QA team of 15 and focus primarily on automation for the company.
- Work on automation across a range of internal and external systems and websites with new work and some legacy/inherited platforms from recent takeovers.
- Enhance and maintain the core automation repository, with potential opportunities to modernise or rebuild down the line.
- Primarily use Python and Playwright for automation, in a BDD style using Behave, with some legacy Python/Selenium/Behave in the mix, covering multiple platforms and customer journeys.
- Engage with enterprise systems experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Salesforce) and API testing/complex integrations as useful but not essential.
- Collaborate with other experienced Test Automation Engineers, ask the right questions, and challenge requirements where needed due to busy environment and evolving documentation.
Qualifications
- Experience in test automation using Python; Playwright experience is a plus but not essential.
- Familiarity with BDD style using Behave; experience with Selenium is a plus for legacy work.
- Interest or experience with enterprise systems like SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Salesforce, API testing, and complex integrations is useful but not mandatory.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams and support from colleagues.
