Site Agent – Shaft Sinking / Tunnelling

Location: OtterbourneRate: £350 per dayDuration: 12‑month contract

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Site Agent to work on a shaft sinking and tunnelling package on a water treatment site in Otterbourne. This is a long‑term opportunity on a technically challenging project, suitable for someone with a strong background in water treatment, utilities, or tunnelling works.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing daily site operations on shaft sinking and tunnelling works
• Coordinating subcontractors, labour, plant, and materials
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification
• Maintaining high standards of H&S, quality, and environmental compliance
• Liaising with engineers, project managers, and client representatives
• Supporting planning, permits, RAMS, and progress reporting

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Agent on shaft sinking, tunnelling, utilities, or water treatment projects
• Strong understanding of water / wastewater environments
• Excellent knowledge of H&S and site management procedures
• SMSTS (essential)
• CSCS (essential)
• Temporary Works knowledge (advantageous)
