Salary: £26,000 basic
Hours: 37 hours per week
Core Hours
- Monday – Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Friday: 8:30am – 2:00pm (Flexible by prior agreement)
The Role
Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager.
Liaising with other company personnel and their allotted departments.
Main Duties
- Handle procurement enquiries from internal staff, managing requests from initial enquiry through to the receipt of goods. This will include raising purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, monitoring delivery schedules, and ensuring goods are received accurately and on time.
- All purchasing activity must be carried out in accordance with internal procedures, including Purchasing and Supplier processes.
- Maintaining accurate procurement records and documentation to support compliance, traceability, and quality standards expected within a food and confectionery process systems environment.
- Stock control activities, including monitoring inventory levels, updating records, and ensuring all relevant documentation is maintained accurately to support operational continuity and cost control.
- Expediting orders will be a key part of the role, requiring proactive communication with suppliers to track order progress, resolve delivery issues, and minimise delays.
- Keep internal stakeholders informed of order status, lead times, and any changes that may impact production or project schedules.
- Provide general administrative support to the procurement and wider office team as required and undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by management to support the ongoing needs of the business.
