Role: Warehouse Operative

Location: Hull Alexandra Dock

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 3 month rolling contract

Pay Rate: 14.76 PAYE

Hours: 40 hrs p/wk 07:00-15.30

Overtime available

Description

• Accepting incoming goods and compares them with the shipping document (Material number, description, quantity)
• Checking incoming goods for visible damage, documents them and provides the information if required.
• Taking care for correct use of transport equipment (hand-guided industrial trucks, forklift, etc.).
• Capturing relevant data in data processing systems.
• Arranging the acceptance, storage, commissioning, and removal of goods in the storage area and records them in the appropriate systems.
• Organizing a regular stock maintenance and inventory in the storage area.
• Assembling deliveries out of given storage compartments and reviews for completeness and accuracy (e.g., quantity and article number in reference to the respective delivery notes).
• Completing packaging of deliveries having regard to shipping instructions, common methods of dispatch, types of packaging and other instructions (e.g., Dangerous Goods) in the given framework.
• Adding the corresponding shipping documents to the outgoing goods.
• Completing transports inside and if applicable outside the premises with professional usage of appropriate means of transportation.
• Prior experience working in Warehouse environment is essential
• Experience of Reach truck & Counterbalance (up to 12t) forklift licence is preferred.
• SAP knowledge would be an added advantage
• Competent IT skills such as Microsoft Excel for basic data input/extraction
• Excellent housekeeping management and organisational skills
• Vigilant Health & Safety awareness with a Zero Harm attitude
