Job Description:

Blair West are supporting True Potential, to find a Finance Business Partner – Business Unit. This role sits within the Business Unit Finance team, part of the wider centralised Group Finance function. It is a high-impact position providing financial insight, management information, and commercial analysis to support business performance and strategic decision-making. The role reports to the Business Unit Finance Director and interfaces with both the BU Executive Committee and Group Finance leadership.

The opportunity:

  • Act as a trusted finance partner to senior BU stakeholders, delivering actionable financial insights and commercial analysis.
  • Support decision-making through scenario modelling, investment appraisal, and profitability analysis.
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of BU management information, including monthly performance packs.
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators, providing clear commentary and variance analysis.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning in collaboration with BU leadership and Group FP&A.
  • Ensure BU financial reporting aligns with Group Finance policies, standards, and controls.
  • Contribute to the effectiveness of the small BU Finance team through coaching, knowledge sharing, and process improvements.
  • Interface with the Group CFO and Finance leadership to provide performance insight and support audits.

You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:

  • A professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in Finance Business Partnering, commercial finance, or management accounting.
  • Strong ability to produce and interpret complex management information and performance analysis.
  • Commercial acumen and confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, presenting financial insights clearly to non-finance leaders.
  • Experience supporting ExCo or Board-level reporting (desirable).
  • Experience in a multi-business unit or group environment (desirable).
  • Advanced financial modelling and scenario analysis skills (desirable).
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset, with a balance of strategic thinking and attention to detail.
