Job Title: Group Procurement Officer

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Group Procurement Officer to join our team at our Head Office in Bradford. Reporting to the Head of Group Supply Chain, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Group’s commercial strategy by managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and identifying opportunities to deliver value across the supply chain. The role involves working closely with a range of internal departments and external suppliers, requiring strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. The role will require occasional travel to our other offices, in order to maintain stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of the Group procurement strategy alongside the Head of Group Supply Chain.
- Ensure supplier due diligence, compliance, and procurement activities align with corporate governance requirements.
- Manage supplier performance, addressing service, quality, and supply issues to maintain operational continuity.
- Lead the preparation and management of RFPs, including evaluation frameworks and recommendation reports.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand operational requirements and develop effective sourcing solutions.
- Negotiate commercial terms and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost efficiencies and value improvements.
- Conduct spend analysis across procurement categories and present insights and recommendations to the Senior Management Team.
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a procurement or buying role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen, with the ability to identify, calculate, and present cost-saving opportunities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, organise workloads effectively, and work under pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to Group company sites and supplier premises as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- CIPS qualification or working towards CIPS is desirable but not essential
- Full, clean driving license
