Software Engineer – Hybrid (London or Cheltenham) – Up to £60k – Public Sector Data Consultancy

G.Digital are partnering with one of the UK’s fastest-growing Tech4Good consultancies – a team using data and technology to help government clients protect the UK across Cyber, National Security, and Law Enforcement.

They’re looking for a Software Engineer who’s excited to tackle complex technical challenges and build secure, scalable systems that really make an impact.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building mission-critical software solutions
• Coding in Python, Java, C++, Rust, or Go
• Using tools like pytest, OpenAPI, and Docker
• Working in Agile teams – delivering real value, fast
• Building on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Applying modern DevOps practices – CI/CD, containerisation & automation
• Work on projects that genuinely protect and improve lives

• Hybrid working – 2–3 days in London or Cheltenham / client site

Requirements

• Eligibility for SC Clearance (British Citizen, resident in the UK for the last 5 years) is required
• Software engineering skills in one or more of Python, Java, C++, Rust, Go
• Experience with modern tooling and cloud platforms is preferred
