A leading international law firm with a strong focus on innovation and client service is seeking a Legal Project Manager to join its Client Solutions team. The role supports the delivery of legal services through structured project management, improving efficiency, transparency and value for clients. The team operates across the UK and Europe, combining legal expertise with technology and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage complex legal matters – Support the delivery of legal work across transactions, disputes and multi‑jurisdictional projects, ensuring structure and consistency in approach. Work closely with legal teams to coordinate activities and maintain delivery standards.
  • Define scope and planning – Establish clear scopes, deliverables and success criteria for each matter. Develop budgets, timelines and resource plans to support effective execution.
  • Implement governance frameworks – Create communication plans, risk registers and reporting structures to ensure transparency and control. Monitor progress and elevate risks or issues where necessary.
  • Track performance and profitability – Oversee budgeting, fee tracking and margin analysis to provide insight into matter performance. Use data to support decision‑making and improve financial outcomes.
  • Support client and business development – Contribute to pitches, RFPs and client meetings by articulating project delivery approaches. Develop client‑facing materials and incorporate feedback to enhance service delivery.

Skills & Attributes

  • Project management expertise – Demonstrates experience managing complex projects within legal services environments, ideally client facing, or internal process improvement or change projects within law firms.
  • Understanding of legal delivery – Possesses knowledge of legal service structures, law firm economics and key profitability drivers. Applies this understanding to improve efficiency and value.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills – Builds credible relationships with partners, clients and senior stakeholders. Communicates clearly and effectively across all levels.
  • Analytical and data‑driven approach – Uses data and metrics to monitor performance and inform decisions. Provides clear reporting and actionable insights.
  • Collaborative and solution‑focused mindset – Works effectively across teams and adapts to changing priorities. Takes a pragmatic approach to problem‑solving while driving continuous improvement.
