Well regarded Property team in Reading is looking to recruit a Property Litigation lawyer of 1 or more years’ PQE, The team has extensive experience in dealing with this complex area of law. and assist clients in all areas of landlord and tenant litigation and in any real estate dispute. They act, for example, in connection with break notices; dilapidations; forfeiture; land registration disputes; issues relating to landlord’s consent; lease renewals; possession claims; recovery of rent and other arrears; rights to light and other easement disputes; service charge issues; property related insolvency; and restrictive covenants. They also advise on a number of niche areas of law, including property related telecommunications issues, judicial review and agricultural law. Clients include household names in the retail and leisure sectors, investment landlords, developers of both commercial and residential land, local authorities, and other public bodies. This firm currently has a role within the residential property litigation sub-team for a specialist landlord and tenant solicitor. The ideal candidate will be experience of at least some of the following: • Advising on service charge matters, including interpreting service charge clauses in long leases, s20 consultations and s27A proceedings before the First Tier Tribunal • Advising on and acting in respect of the interpretation and breaches of other covenants in long residential leases, to include seeking forfeiture • All forms of leasehold enfranchisement, to include Tribunal proceedings where necessary (this should include experience of notice projects from start to finish) • Advising on statutory and voluntary lease extensions • Acting in matters pertaining to Right to Manage companies • Experience in advising on short-form residential tenancy matters, principally in respect of AST possession claims is desirable. xwzovoh
