Job Description:

Senior Information Security Consultant (Customer-Facing | OT & IT Security)

About the Role:

We are looking for a customer-facing Information Security Consultant to join a leading technology solutions provider delivering secure, intelligent infrastructure across public services, enterprise & data centres, and defence & justice sectors.

This is a high-impact consulting role focused on ensuring the cyber and information security integrity of customer deployments — particularly where Operational Technology (OT) and IT environments converge.

You’ll act as a trusted advisor to major clients, lead cyber assurance activities, shape secure-by-design solution frameworks, and support strategic bids. If you enjoy blending technical depth with stakeholder engagement and influencing secure architecture at scale, this role offers real breadth and visibility.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Develop and enhance a customer-facing cyber security framework aligned to Secure by Design and Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) principles
  • Embed clear cyber risk ownership and governance across deployments
  • Ensure solutions comply with regulatory and accreditation requirements (including GDPR, ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus)
  • Lead customer-facing cyber audits and assurance programmes, including remediation planning
  • Provide security oversight where solutions integrate with corporate IT, supplier systems and OT environments
  • Support strategic bids and pre‑sales activity, ensuring cyber requirements are fully understood and robustly addressed
  • Work closely with product and technical leaders to ensure security is embedded across the lifecycle
  • Apply defence‑in‑depth, attack surface reduction, secure change, and continuous assurance principles

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong experience in cyber and information security across both IT and Operational Technology (OT)
  • Deep understanding of current and emerging cyber threats and mitigation strategies
  • Experience applying recognised frameworks such as Secure by Design and/or Cyber Assessment Framework
  • Knowledge of ISO27001, GDPR, and Cyber Essentials Plus
  • Ability to combine technology, governance, process, risk management, and user education into effective security strategy
  • Experience leading customer-facing audits or assurance engagements
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience supporting bids or working in regulated or complex sectors desirable
  • Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT or related field
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, NCSC CCP or CCISO desirable

Why Join?

  • Work on complex, meaningful projects across critical national sectors
  • Influence secure solution design at enterprise and OT scale
  • Be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking technical community
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package
  • Clear progression pathways and professional development support

Up to 95,000 basic salary per annum + 5k Car Allowance
