About Us:Staff 2000 Recruitment is a trusted healthcare agency supplying high-quality staff to care services across the region. We are currently recruiting experienced and compassionate Support Workers to join our team on a flexible, ad hoc basis.
The Role:We are supporting a respite centre in Shirley, Southampton, providing care for individuals with learning disabilities. Some service users may also have additional needs, including epilepsy, so confidence and awareness in supporting complex needs is essential.
This is a flexible, temporary agency role ideal for candidates seeking varied shifts. However, availability on Mondays and Tuesdays is essential, alongside flexibility to work both day and night shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing high-quality, person-centred care and support
Supporting individuals with daily living tasks, including personal care
Promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing
Supporting service users with learning disabilities and additional needs
Monitoring and responding appropriately to health conditions, including epilepsy
Working effectively as part of a team within the respite service
Maintaining accurate records and following care plans
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Support Worker or Healthcare Assistant
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (preferred)
Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities
Awareness or experience of supporting individuals with epilepsy (desirable)
Must be reliable, flexible, and able to work ad hoc shifts
Must be available to work Mondays and Tuesdays
