Job Description:

We’re excited to be supporting the launch of a brand-new Birmingham office and are looking for an experienced Senior Project Electrical Design Engineer to join a forward-thinking, technology-driven consultancy delivering hyperscale data centre projects across EMEA.

Location: Birmingham (initially fully remote, then hybrid)

The Role

You’ll lead electrical design packages from concept through to construction, acting as a key technical and client-facing lead on complex data centre projects. Working closely with an established Dublin team, you’ll help shape the growth of the UK hub while maintaining the highest standards of quality, programme, and cost control.

You’ll also:

  • Lead and develop electrical building services design
  • Mentor junior engineers and guide BIM technicians
  • Produce schematics, specifications, tender packages, and reports
  • Attend site visits and oversee installation quality
  • Drive technical standards and continuous improvement

About You

  • 10+ years’ experience as a Senior Electrical Engineer
  • Strong data centre electrical building services background (essential)
  • Deep knowledge of ETCI, CIBSE, IEC, BS, IS & EN standards
  • Experienced with AutoCAD, Dialux, Amtech & Revit (advantage)
  • Degree-qualified (Chartered status a bonus, not essential)
