Location: Tunbridge Wells, Kent

Salary: 31,000 – 49,000 TLR (for Head of Statistics responsibility)

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Start Date: September 2026

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3-5
  • Lead the development of Statistics within the department (KS4 & KS5)
  • Work closely with the Head of Maths to support teaching, learning, and assessment
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and the development of schemes of work
  • Monitor and track student progress using data to drive improvement
  • Support and develop colleagues, sharing best practice across the department
  • Contribute to departmental leadership, including behaviour management and daily operations
  • Participate in the wider school community and enrichment activities

Key Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics, with a particular strength in Statistics
  • Experience teaching Maths at secondary level (KS4/KS5 desirable)
  • Ability to lead or contribute to curriculum development
  • Proven ability (or clear potential) to raise student attainment
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • A collaborative and proactive approach to team working
