Lead Frontend Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities for the Lead Frontend Software Engineer:

• Work on a key program of work starting in 2026 to build a brand new electronic trading platform.
• Develop and maintain front-end applications used by front-office users.
• Design and develop UIs for the their core platform and new platform.
• Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across the business and report directly to the CTO.
• Mentor Frontend Engineers working as part of the team.
• Suggest and implement new ideas into the code base.

Requirements for the Lead Frontend Software Engineer

• A degree in a STEM-related subject.
• At least 8 years of commercial frontend development experience within an electronic trading environment.
• This experience could be within; an Investment Bank, Brokerage, Hedge Fund, Asset Manager, Electronic Exchange.
• Experience with Redux.js, GIT, Node, HTML, and CSS.
• Proven experience in building robust and reliable UI’s.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with senior stakeholders.
• An eye for design is a plus.

Additional Information:

• The role requires attendance at the client’s London office (near Monument station) 3 days per week; this is not a fully remote position.
