I wanted to reach out as I’m currently working on a permanent leadership opportunity within a therapeutic children’s residential home supporting young people with learning disabilities, and thought it may be of interest.
Role Snapshot
- Position: Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home (Learning Disabilities)
- Location: Matlock
- Salary: 50,000 – 58,000 basic salary + benefits package
- Type: Permanent
This is a role within a beautiful, well-presented children’s home in a lovely location, providing therapeutic, person-centred care for young people with learning disabilities and additional needs. The home has a strong focus on stability, positive outcomes, and creating a safe and nurturing environment where young people can thrive.
You would be joining a supportive provider that genuinely values its managers, with a clear therapeutic approach, strong leadership support, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of care and Ofsted compliance.
Qualifications
- Experience within children’s residential services
- Learning disabilities experience
- Level 5 in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
Responsibilities
- You wouldn’t be stepping into a firefighting situation – instead, you’d have the opportunity to lead and further develop a well-supported home, with visible backing from senior leadership.
