Working exclusively with our client, an established and expanding injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to support further business growth.
Commutable from: Hybrid with regular visits to Midlands HQ
Remit
- This position will suit an experienced Technical Sales or Business Development Manager with a background in injection moulding or other polymer processing disciplines.

- The successful Business Development Manager will be joining a dynamic and forward‑thinking business and will have an opportunity to become a member of their senior leadership team.
Role
- Responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities for the company’s injection moulding manufacturing services.
- Build strong business relationships with prospective customers across target industry market sectors.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of new business opportunities.
- Generate leads through market research, networking, contact referrals and industry events.
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through to contract award.
- Act as the main commercial contact for customers during quotation and project development stages.
- Understand customer requirements and coordinate with internal teams to develop solutions.
- Prepare and present quotations, proposals and commercial offers.
- Lead commercial negotiations with customers.
- Ensure projects are commercially viable and aligned with company pricing strategies.
- Monitor market trends, competitors and emerging opportunities.
- Contribute to strategic sales planning for the business.
- Represent the company at trade shows and industry events.
Experience Requirements
- Proven experience of business development or technical sales within injection moulding or plastics manufacturing.
- Technical knowledge and understanding of plastic injection moulding processes and tooling.
- Demonstrated ability to win and develop new business.
- Strong negotiation and relationship building skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand technical drawings, specifications and manufacturing requirements.
- Knowledge of tooling development and product design for injection moulding an advantage.
- Strategic thinker with strong problem‑solving ability.
- Full UK driving licence.
