Proactive Personnel are currently looking for a time-served Quality Inspector to start work for our client based in Chorley on a permanent basis.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products to verify compliance with quality specifications.
- Utilise specialised measurement tools and visual inspection techniques to detect defects or inconsistencies.
- Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records for traceability purposes.
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in the development and review of quality assurance procedures and standards, including HACCP protocols where applicable.
- Participate in internal audits and support external inspections by regulatory bodies or clients.
- Analyse data trends to identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements to enhance product quality.
Skills
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret technical data and inspection reports effectively.
- Able to use CMM.
- Knowledge of HACCP principles and their application within manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in quality assurance roles, demonstrating a keen eye for detail and consistency.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively across departments.
The hours of work are Monday to Thursday 07:15am- 17:15pm. Pay is negotiable depending on experience.
