We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and busy recycling business located just outside Colchester. This is a temp to perm opportunity with strong potential for a long-term career for the right candidate.
Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Operator with a valid Counterbalance Forklift Ticket as you may be expected to operate multiple types of machinery. You will be part of a close-knit team ensuring smooth and efficient operations across the site.
Key Responsibilities of the Counterbalance Forklift Driver:
Operating a counterbalance forklift to move and manage materials on site
Assisting with loading of bulkers, hoppers, and shredders
General site housekeeping and bay clearance
Carrying out daily machinery checks and basic maintenance
Operating additional plant machinery such as loading shovels, mini diggers, and material handlers (if qualified)
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 17:30
Up to 15 hours of overtime available per week
Pay Details:
£ per hour basic rate
£ per hour overtime
Requirements of the Counterbalance Forklift Driver:
Valid counterbalance forklift licence – essential
Own reliable transport – essential due to rural location
Previous experience in the waste, recycling, or aggregates sector preferred
