Senior Product Design Engineer

Location: Crawley – Office based

Salary: GBP 40,000 to GBP 50,000 (DOE) + 25 days holiday + bank holidays + pension + occasional travel.

Working hours: Monday to Thursday 08:45 to 17:30, Friday 08:45 to 12:45.

Overview

This role is offered by a globally recognised manufacturer and provides the opportunity to influence new and exciting products.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical design of products from concept through to production manufacturing drawings.
• Create 3D designs and models in SolidWorks, along with 2D production drawings.
• Design for manufacturing, including jigs and fixtures.
• Work on both customer and R&D projects.
• Design products made of plastic and sheet metal.
• Create Bills of Materials (BOMs).

Candidate Requirements

• Mechanical design background.
• Experience with SolidWorks.
• Strong understanding of the product design lifecycle.
