Personal Assistant to ADO
Department: Core Clinical
Band 4, £28,392 – £31,157 per annum pro rata
Hours: 19 hours per week, all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working.
Contract: Fixed Term until August 2027 (Maternity Cover)
You will be working closely with three other PAs from our other hospital divisions and line managed directly by the ADO.
Your main role will be providing administrative support in accordance with agreed standing operating procedures that enables a high quality, effective customer‑focused service to be delivered and ensuring that anyone contacting the ADO has an experience that is in line with the Trust’s values.
It is essential that you are confident in Microsoft Office, able to work in an inclusive and diverse environment, and able to handle confidential and urgent information. Ideally, you would have had previous experience within a similar role or strong administrative experience.

- Provide administrative support in accordance with agreed standing operating procedures that enables a high quality, effective customer‑focused service to be delivered.
- Maintain a professional image of the Trust and the ADO, Divisional Director and Management Team at all times.
- Ensure that anyone contacting the ADO, Divisional Director and Management Team has an experience that is in line with the Trust’s values.
- Manage comprehensive administrative and secretarial support including effective diary management.
- Prepare and draft meeting agendas and supporting paperwork, ensuring information is circulated on time.
- Arrange for speakers, equipment, venues, catering and other appropriate requirements.
- Attend meetings and take detailed accurate minutes, initiating action on identified issues as appropriate.
- Ensure that minutes are produced in accordance with the agreed format, to the required standard of accuracy and distributed as necessary.
- Meet and greet visitors and act as the first point of contact, receiving telephone calls, emails and personal callers, responding efficiently and promptly to queries.
- Promote a professional and customer‑focused image of the ADO Management Team and the Hospital at all times.
- Work on own initiative to respond to queries on behalf of the ADO, Divisional Director and Leads for the Departments, liaising with other colleagues as appropriate.
