Senior Electrical Engineer — Building Services (Consultancy) — Birmingham (Hybrid) | £45,000 – £55,000

Role Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of electrical building services across a diverse portfolio of projects. You will be a key member of the MEP team, providing technical expertise, managing projects from concept through to completion, coordinating with internal disciplines and external consultants, and enhancing client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical building services design and specification on multidisciplinary projects.
- Manage projects through all design stages, ensuring timely delivery and technical excellence.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other consultants to integrate electrical systems.
- Mentor, guide, and develop junior engineers and technicians.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards, regulations and best practice.
- Engage directly with clients, delivering professional electrical advice and building lasting relationships.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
- Proven consultancy experience in electrical design within the built environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems (lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, data/communications).
- Excellent project management, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Chartered status (e.g., CEng/CIBSE/IET) or working towards chartership is desirable.
