WearecurrentlyrecruitingforaSolicitor–CorporateandCommercialtojoinourclientbasedintheirDevizesofficeandsometimesintheirLondonoffice.
SpecificRolesandResponsibilities:
- Thesuccessfulcandidatewillperformcorporateandcommercialwork,encompassingthefollowingcoreareas:
- Saleandpurchaseofbusinesses(bothassetsandsharestransactions)
- Companystructuresandgroupre-structuring
- Partnershipandshareholders’agreements
- Commercialcontracts;and
- Corporategovernanceandadministration
- Toprovidesupport,whenrequired,regardingotherareasofcommercialworktothewiderfirm.
- Buildingonpersonalandteamprofilebyattendingnetworkingevents,producingarticlesandmarketingmaterials.
- Developingunderstandingofcommercialandcorporatelawandassistingwithlaw,policyandpracticeupdatesfortheteam.
- Tocarry-outanyotherdutiesandresponsibilitiesthatmayberequiredbytheHeadofDepartment.
ClientDevelopmentandMarketing:
- Tobeactiveinmarketingtheservicesofthefirmandthespecificteam,itsimageandethos(inliaisonwithHeadofDepartmentandotherpartners).
PersonSpecification:
Experienceandknowledge:
- Approx.2+yearsPQEincorporateandcommercialmattersatregionalorCityofficelevel.
- Anenthusiasmtocontributetothevaluesandethosofthefirmandthecommunityinwhichitworks.
- Independenceofthoughtandadesiretobringexperience,knowledgeandideastothewiderteam.
- Experienceofdraftingcorporateandcommercialdocumentation.
- Excellentwrittenandverbalcommunicationskills.
- Commerciality/businessacumen.
- Acommitmenttoequality,diversityandinclusion.
ProfessionalQualifications:
- AdmissionasaSolicitorentitledtopracticeinEngland&Wales.
- Currentpractisingcertificate(orentitlementtoobtainone)fromtheLawSociety.
