Programme Manager – Digital Transformations

Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead large, multi‑stakeholder digital transformation programmes in process manufacturing (e.g., chemicals, pharmaceuticals, oil & gas, FMCG, metals). The role will focus on end‑to‑end delivery of Digital Twin initiatives—from strategy and roadmap definition to implementation and value realization—across plants, supply chains, and enterprise systems. The ideal candidate combines strong programme governance, manufacturing domain expertise, and hands‑on experience delivering Digital Twin solutions leveraging IIoT, advanced analytics, simulation, and OT‑IT integration.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Leadership & Governance
- Own and manage large, complex, multi‑year Digital Twin programmes across process manufacturing operations
- Establish programme governance, delivery cadence, RAID management, budgeting, and executive reporting
- Align programme outcomes with business KPIs such as OEE, yield, throughput, energy efficiency, safety, and sustainability
- Act as the single point of accountability for scope, schedule, cost, quality, and benefits realization
- Lead definition and execution of Digital Twin roadmaps (asset, process, plant, and supply chain twins)
- Translate manufacturing business problems into digital, analytics, and simulation use cases
- Process simulation and first‑principles models
- IIoT, historian, MES, ERP, SCADA/DCS integrations
- Ensure scalable, secure, and future‑ready Digital Twin architectures
Digital Twin Strategy & Delivery
- Lead definition and execution of Digital Twin roadmaps (asset, process, plant, and supply chain twins)
- Translate manufacturing business problems into digital, analytics, and simulation use cases
- Oversee solution design integrating:
- Process simulation and first‑principles models
- Data‑driven/AI models
- IIoT, historian, MES, ERP, SCADA/DCS integrations
- Ensure scalable, secure, and future‑ready Digital Twin architectures
Stakeholder & Partner Management
- Collaborate with plant leadership, operations, engineering, IT, data science, and automation teams
- Manage system integrators, technology vendors, and cloud/platform partners
- Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes effectively to senior executives and steering committees
Change Management & Adoption
- Drive organisational change, user adoption, and capability building for Digital Twin solutions
- Enable operating teams to embed Digital Twins into day‑to‑day decision‑making
- Support training, documentation, and transition to run operations
Financial & Risk Management
- Own programme budgets, forecasts, and vendor commercials
- Proactively manage delivery risks related to data quality, model accuracy, adoption, and integration complexity
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, data governance, and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications & Experience
Experience
- Several years of experience in programme/project management within manufacturing or industrial digital transformation
- 5+ years leading initiatives in process manufacturing environments
- Proven experience delivering Digital Twin, Advanced Analytics, or Industry 4.0 programmes at scale
Domain & Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of process manufacturing operations and workflows
- OT‑IT landscapes (DCS, SCADA, PLC, Historian, MES, ERP)
- Digital Twin concepts (asset, process, plant, system twins)
- Familiarity with simulation tools, AI/ML models, and industrial data platforms
- Experience with major platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Siemens, AspenTech, AVEVA, Dassault, or similar) is a plus
Programme Management Skills
- Expertise in programme governance, financial management, and delivery frameworks
- Strong risk management and dependency management skills
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder alignment capabilities
- Experience working in Agile/Hybrid delivery models for industrial digital programmes
Preferred Certifications
- PMP / PgMP / PRINCE2
- SAFe or Agile certifications
- Industry 4.0 / Digital Manufacturing certifications (preferred)
