About the role
We require a full‑time Learning & Skills Trainer to deliver a high standard of technical training in Light Vehicle to national apprentices.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, design and deliver high‑quality teaching, learning and assessment in the specialist area of Light Vehicle.
- Ensure apprentices cover the relevant knowledge, skills and behaviours of their vocational area to meet their end‑point assessment.
- Create individual learning plans for apprentices and provide blended learning opportunities for both on‑site and remote learners, ensuring additional learning needs are met.
- Complete progress reviews with employers and apprentices, both remotely and at employers’ sites.
- Motivate and inspire apprentices so they achieve excellence and higher grades.
Qualifications & experience
- Hold a recognised subject‑related qualification at Level 3 or above or have occupational competence in the subject area.
- Hold a Certificate in Education, PGCE or DTLLS, or be willing to work towards one.
- Relevant industrial experience and occupational competence.
- Experience of successful team working and a commitment to a team‑based approach.
- Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of others, including students with different needs.
- Exceptional organisational and planning skills with excellent timekeeping and attendance.
