Overview

The SMP Product Marketing Director (PMD) is an exciting new role to be a key part of the SMP Global Team. The Lead will be responsible for the marketing and communications of the full suite of SMP solutions to a primarily internal audience, across the Stagwell network of media agencies. It will be reporting to the Global CEO, SMP.

This role is for an individual contributor; responsible for materials creation and articulation as well as having the know how to develop a go-to-market strategy for education, awareness and packaging of our internal media solutions that are deployed from the SMP out to the brands.

The PMD will have internal communication experience as well as being able to contribute to shaping a narrative and product offering with a good knowledge of agency media solutions and positioning. Being able to articulate the benefits of technology solutions to an internal audience is a key component of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Building materials to support the SMP solutions ensuring brand identity, storytelling and narrative is consistent and guarded, globally
  • Develop compelling messaging and positioning strategies that resonate with internal audiences
  • Plan and execute go-to-market strategy and marketing campaigns to launch and scale products, driving product awareness, adoption, and retention to the internal stakeholders
  • Work alongside the SVP Agency Engagement to ensure that the materials produced reflect the needs of the agency brands and in lock-step to drive product adoption
  • Be highly organised – this cannot be underscored enough, this is about repetition, consistency and having a calendar of communications that is mechanised to deliver the internal messaging as required – across product adoption, innovation development, testing, new partnerships and opportunities as well as case studies and client success highlights across the SMP portfolio

Requirements

  • AI enablement: Show the ability to use AI tools to drive efficiency and effectiveness within communications crafting, refinement and deployment
  • Storytelling: Effectively communicate the value of agency media solutions and how it solves customer problems in a way that resonates with the target audience. xwzovoh
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from product launch planning to ongoing marketing efforts, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time. Organisation is key.
  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis tools and the ability to interpret data insights to track the performance of marketing efforts and make data-driven decisions – understanding measurement and what is success
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with various stakeholders to ensure that everyone is aligned on the solutions
  • Agility: this candidate needs to show agility in thinking and entrepreneurial spirit to be able to pivot fast, catch unknowns on a regular basis and work with a senior team of executives and know how to prioritise and manage deliverables
