Child Protection Advisor
Participate in the triage and management of referrals from the public and industry partners by supporting the assessment of risk and ensuring an appropriate agency response.
Communicating directly with vulnerable children, parents, carers and professionals.
Undertaking assessments of children who may be at risk and working with specialist teams within the CSA Investigations Command and where applicable across the Agency, to advice on best practice in relation to the treatment and welfare of child victims.
Provide child protection input to CSA Investigations Command activity which may include advising on legislation, policy and/or tactical options to assist in the planning and implementation of relevant operations.
Participate in interventions, operations and investigations, gathering information, intelligence and evidence in order to reduce the risk of sexual exploitation to children and young adults.
Support case management and create, maintain and update departmental records, including operational or programme activity spreadsheets, case files and monthly reports.
Build good working relationships with both internal and external partners
