The location of the role is Paddington, London (hybrid working). The duration of the contract is 6 months. The pay rate on offer is £350 – £400 per day (via Umbrella agency – inside IR35).

The client is a multinational high-street retailer.

Role Summary

An outcome driven business analyst, delivering end to end process stability across product set up and PO management, inbound compliance, and query/SRNI resolution. Provide structure, controls, and cross functional alignment.

Core Deliverables

RACI clarity, SLA definition, control gate design, backlog reduction, process mapping, capability uplift, and cross functional governance.

Key accountabilities of the role

Inbound compliance:Align Ops, Supply Chain, Buying & Merchandising on roles, responsibilities and escalation pathsSupport Operations ExecutivePO and pricing validation controls:Identify whether discrepancies are system driven, training driven, or discipline driven.Recommend and implement improved validation controls to prevent SRNI issues.Data integrity controls:Diagnose root causes of recurring data issues (barcodes, manufacturer codes, pricing).Assess capability gaps in Buying teams and offshore teams.Define “what good looks like” for product set up post integrationEnd-to-endBuyability and availability oversightMap e2e process and establish a cross functional view of buyability blockers and systemic failure pointsSet up weekly triage; define and embed ownership at each stage of processQuery log reduction and process stabilisation:Diagnose why query lines remain high and where bottlenecks sitWork with Buying & Merchandising and Ops to clear backlogRecommend process or automation changes to prevent re-accumulationSRNI process strengthening for transition:Ensure Buying & Merchandising team is fully equipped to manage SRNI (Stock Received Not Invoiced) during and after transitionDefine transition processIdentify and close gaps in data, process or capabilityCross-functional integration & change delivery – drive structured problem-solving and ensure actions are deliveredKey skills and experience

Strong preference for Retail or Ecommerce industry experienceComfortable operating across functions and driving changeUnderstanding of retail product lifecycle (e.g. product setup, PO creation, inbound logistics etc.)Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and ability to map end-to-end processesSelf-starter. Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectivelyExcellent collaboration, communication and stakeholder management skillsOperational pragmatism and hands-on delivery when requiredProficient in Microsoft Office tools, particularly comfortable using Microsoft ExcelExperience using Netsuite or RITHUM CommerceHub is a plus (not essential…
