Project Quantity Surveyor (Location: Belfast Travel Across UK & Ireland Required) Competitive Salary (Negotiable DOE) Capex Recruitment are partnering with a leading construction and engineering contractor to recruit a Project Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of projects across the UK and Ireland. This is a dynamic role offering exposure to multiple projects, where you will play a key part in managing costs, contracts and commercial performance from pre-construction through to final account. The Role Reporting to senior commercial leadership, the Project Quantity Surveyor will take responsibility for the financial and contractual management of assigned projects, ensuring they are delivered in line with budget, programme and client expectations. Key responsibilities will include: Managing the full commercial lifecycle of projects from award through to final account Preparing cost forecasts, cost-to-complete reports and maintaining accurate financial tracking Administering contracts in line with NEC, JCT or bespoke forms of agreement Handling variations, change control and valuation processes in accordance with contract terms Producing regular commercial reports, including CVRs and weekly financial updates Managing subcontractor procurement, including preparation of packages and contract issuance Monitoring subcontractor performance, valuations and final account agreements Supporting tender and pre-construction stages, including risk and opportunity analysis Managing cash flow forecasting and ensuring applications for payment are submitted in line with programme Liaising with clients, project teams and supply chain to resolve commercial queries and maintain strong working relationships Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will have a solid background in quantity surveying within construction or engineering environments, with strong commercial awareness and contract knowledge. Applicants should demonstrate: Degree in Quantity Surveying or related construction discipline (or equivalent experience) Minimum 5 years experience in a Quantity Surveying role Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial processes Experience working across multiple projects or within a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office and commercial/project software systems Strong communication and negotiation skills Ability to manage workload independently while contributing to a wider team Full driving licence and willingness to travel as required Desirable Experience with commercial systems such as COINS, RedSky or similar Familiarity with planning tools such as Asta Powerproject Working towards or holding professional accreditation (e.g. RICS) Whats on Offer Competitive salary and benefits package Exposure to projects across the UK and Ireland Strong career progression within a growing organisation Supportive and collaborative commercial team environment For a confidential discussion, please contact Calum Cowie, Senior Consultant at Capex Recruitment.
