Outer North West Division Podiatry Service (CLCH) is seeking a Clinical Specialist Lead Podiatrist to lead clinical services, develop new care pathways, and drive evidence‑based practice across the podiatry service.
Responsibilities
- Use specialist knowledge and skills of clinical assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment within the agreed scope of practice.
- Act as the advanced diagnostic and decision maker for the podiatry service, supporting efficient, patient‑focused care and ensuring safe referral, treatment, and discharge.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members to deliver best clinical care, emotional and psychological support and education to patients, service users and their families.
- Facilitate evidence‑based practice, undertake research, service improvement collaboratives and clinical audit within the podiatry pathways and across the Trust.
- Design and deliver clinical/practical and theory‑based education and training to nurses, allied health professionals, pharmacists and other staff groups, internally and externally.
- Work innovatively and flexibly to adapt to a fast‑changing specialty and contribute to operational and strategic development of the podiatry service.
- Provide clinical leadership and expertise, offering information, support, advice and specialist knowledge to patients, carers, families and multidisciplinary teams.
- Deliver a clinical component of 50‑80% of the role, with remaining time distributed across the other three pillars of service, pathway and Trust.
